Jeff represents clients during all stages of litigation.

Jeff represents individuals and organizations in a broad range of civil, criminal, and regulatory matters. His experience includes representing clients in complex litigation before state and federal courts. He has handled matters involving business and shareholder disputes, contract disputes, claims against fiduciaries, regulatory compliance, and governmental takings. Jeff regularly briefs and argues pre-trial motions, successfully resolving discovery disputes and substantive claims at the early stages of litigation. He also has experience in arbitration proceedings involving FINRA and ICANN.

A member of Reid and Riege's Appellate practice, Jeff has managed and briefed appeals before the Connecticut Appellate Court and Connecticut Supreme Court. Much of his appellate work has involved difficult records, complex legal questions, and issues of first impression.

Prior to joining Reid and Riege, Jeff clerked for the Honorable Nina F. Elgo of the Connecticut Appellate Court.

During law school, Jeff was a judicial extern for the Honorable Victor A. Bolden of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He served as the Research and Symposium Editor on the Quinnipiac Law Review. He also was a member of the Civil Justice Clinic, during which he served as a research assistant to Professor Kevin M. Barry.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained court order vacating arbitration award of $5,000,000 and favorable ruling on arbitrability issue.
  • Represented client in all stages of FINRA arbitration in customer dispute, prevailing on all issues in arbitration award.
  • Obtained pre-trial dismissal of claims against LLC.
  • Successfully defended client in ICANN arbitration for involuntary forfeiture of domain name.
  • On brief in appeal before the Connecticut Appellate Court regarding statutory interpretation of quiet title statute.
  • On brief in appeal before the Connecticut Supreme Court on issue of first impression of statutory scheme regulating public carriers.
  • Obtained dismissal of appeal before Connecticut Appellate Court prior to briefing stage.
